Services & Investment

Concierge therapy. On your terms.

A self-pay practice designed for high-performing clients whose calendars, privacy, and patience for waiting rooms make conventional therapy impractical. We come to you across Metro Phoenix — or you come to us, if that’s what you prefer.

Our Services

Every engagement begins with an initial assessment. From there, the cadence and length of work is determined collaboratively. Some clients meet weekly; some every other week; some engage in more intensive work during periods of transition or focused goal-setting. The rate structure below is designed to make depth of work and convenience of access independently selectable.

Alternative

In-Office Sessions — at our Phoenix office

For clients who prefer the neutrality and privacy of a controlled clinical setting. Sessions held at 2627 N. 3rd Street, Suite 106, Phoenix. Same depth of work, available at the standard fifty-minute clinical hour.

Standard Session 50 minutes $250 Individual · $300 Couples

Initial Assessment — 90-minute intake

A comprehensive intake session covering personal history, presenting concerns, goals, and a clinical recommendation for the work ahead. Required before any ongoing engagement. Available at either location format.

In-Office Assessment At Phoenix office $300 One-Time

Service Area

Concierge service is included for clients located within Metro Phoenix and its surrounding executive corridors — Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Arcadia, Biltmore, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, North Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, Cave Creek, Carefree, DC Ranch, Ahwatukee, Glendale, and Peoria. For locations outside this area, please inquire; case-by-case arrangements are possible.

Session Boundaries

Concierge sessions held at a client’s place of business take place in a private office or conference room — never in open work areas or common spaces — to preserve confidentiality and the clinical character of the work.

In-home sessions are available exclusively within a 5pm–7pm window. The constraint is deliberate: past 7pm, the line between clinical care and casual visit begins to blur in ways that compromise the professional boundary the work requires. Holding to that window protects both the therapeutic relationship and the integrity of the practice. Clients who prefer later sessions are welcome at the Phoenix office, which can accommodate evening appointments by arrangement.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of service. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards (where permitted by the cardholder’s plan). On request, we provide superbills suitable for clients who wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement on their own, subject to the exclusions outlined below.

Insurance & Self-Pay Policy

A self-pay practice, by design.

Dynamic Behavioral Systems Counseling is an out-of-network, self-pay practice. We are not contracted with any commercial or government insurance plan, and we do not submit claims to insurance carriers on behalf of clients.

Carrier Exclusions. Due to the contractual structure of this practice, we are unable to provide services — including out-of-network or self-pay services — to individuals whose primary medical or behavioral health benefits are administered by any of the following carriers, or by any wholly-owned subsidiary, affiliated entity, or behavioral health management organization operating on their behalf:

  • — Aetna
  • — Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • — Cigna
  • — United Healthcare

Subsidiaries and affiliated behavioral health entities include, but are not limited to: Optum, Evernorth, Anthem, Carelon Behavioral Health, Oscar Health, Meritain, Allied Benefit Systems, Surest, and any Blue Cross Blue Shield Association member plan. This list is provided for clarity and is not exhaustive; the exclusion applies to any subsidiary or affiliated administrator of the carriers named above.

This policy applies regardless of payment method and regardless of whether the client intends to seek reimbursement. If you carry coverage with one of the listed carriers, we will be unable to schedule services at DBSC, even on a self-pay basis. However, Dr. Tapley’s parallel clinical practice, White Tiger Counseling, is in-network with all four of these carriers and would be glad to schedule you there instead. Details below.

Good Faith Estimate & No Surprises Act. Under federal law, clients who are uninsured or who choose not to use insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges. A written estimate will be provided at intake and is also available on request. Further information is available at www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Verification. Clients are responsible for accurately disclosing their current health insurance coverage at intake. Material misrepresentation may result in termination of services.

Scheduling & Cancellation

Sessions are scheduled in advance and held in a recurring weekly or biweekly slot whenever possible. We ask for a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions cancelled with less notice, or missed without notice, are billed at the full session rate. This policy exists because the reserved time cannot be reallocated on short notice, and it allows us to keep our caseload small and our scheduling reliable for the clients we serve.

Documentation We Do Not Provide

Our practice is structured for ongoing therapeutic work. We do not provide forensic, evaluative, or third-party documentation services. Please review our Documentation Policy for details on the specific documentation we do not complete, including FMLA, short- and long-term disability, court documents, and emotional support animal letters.
